not just to show samus out of her suit but because having a simple paralyzer gun and running away from enemies is really fun and keeps you on your toes at all times, like in zero mission.

My only critique is that the voice actress was robotic and lifeless. Nintendo missed Metroid’s biggest opportunity. I feel that a better performance would’ve made the game truly incredible.

Seeing Samus without a helmet, much less her who suit, used to be a well earned reward. To me it was something special and mysterious knowing so little. Come SSBB, it blew up in so many ways. Seeing Zero suit Samus in any other game goes unnoticed. The art created is solely her acting like a pathetic slut. Samus is a well developed, respected female character, with more depth than some anime girl with her legs spread

Maybe Samus should have been a bit tougher in cutscenes (she’s still badass you know, just look at the way she dispatches Phantoon!) however she really must have thought Ridley was dead this time because the Space Pirates had always had at least part of Ridley, body or mind, to recreate him from but this time they couldn’t so she’d have some big reaction. The voice acting was fine IMO and the only irritating is how impossible Hard Mode(Suicide Mission)is!
